Supported Emergency Accommodation Service

The Supported Emergency Accommodation Service ‘SEAS’and other Alternate Care Service are provided to children under the Guardianship of the Minister for Families and Communities. The service operates residential units that provide 24 hour care and other support services to children and young people often in conjunction with Families SA. Youth/Social Workers, Residential Care Workers and Residential Support Workers work together to provide a home-like environment to ensure the safety and welfare of young people in their care. The multi-disciplined team approach responds to the needs of children and adolescents with complex and challenging behaviours. Youth workers oversee case management, case workers aim to assist clients to meet agreed goals and support staff provide ancillary and care services. There is a focus on collaboration with Families SA staff and Placement Services through Families SA.
